I am afraid
I just got on my iMac 3.04 gb this morning. I plugged in my iPod and then tried to open iPhoto/iTunes and Safari. Somewhere along the way it got confused and it froze. I had to force a restart by holding the power button down. That's the second time this has happened in a month.
I tried a permissions repair, and this is what I got:
I tried to open iTunes after the restart, but it won't open. It's giving me a scary error (13010).
I have no idea what has happened. Anyone see anything like this? I'm off to the Apple board to see what I can find. Thanks!
What would you do if I sang out of tune? Would you laugh and then beat me to a pulp?

Re: I am afraid
Hi
While I can't offer a solution to this I can say it is very widespread and talked about it almost all Mac sites. I have this come up as well. At this time it doesn't seem to be causing anyone any problems so you can *probably* safely leave it until Apple post a fix for it.
Ben
Let us know if you do find a solution however, many people would like to know!

Non-problematic error in this case (and a number of similar ones). A while a security update closed some holes in the Apple Remote Desktop Agent and the "error" is saying the setting were altered from the originals installation receipt as a result and will not be repaired. (Nor should those new permissions be repaired as the they are correct even though they are altered.)

So ScifiterX, to sum up what you're saying, are you saying this is a permissions "false alarm" reported by the OS ?

Holy crap; I also experienced something similar. While I was syincing 1 movie, a tv show and around 31 new songs to my iPhone the computer froze and had to be shut down with the power button. I'll check permissions later. What version of OSX are you using?

It can be taken that way though an advisory alert that is indistinguishable from a warning of an actual problem might be a little more accurate.
