AIM / iChat

How about, seeing as most of us are familiar with iChat, changing the AIM icon on the AIM button to an iChat icon?

How about let's not? Not everyone is familiar with iChat, and not all those that are, use it.  neutral

This has absolutely nothing to do with the topic, but I'm just curious:

Why does it seem that you object to uh, well, everything that comes up?

You obviously don't read many of my posts. There have been several suggestions made that i agree with, but to remove one icon to replace it with another is not one of them. Had he/she asked to have the iChat in addition to the AIM icon, i would not have had a problem.

It's funny ... ever since we switched over to PHP, all i ever see is i want i want i want. So many just can't be satisfied with what has been given them, and free to boot. I'm just thankful that we have a forum that works most of the time.

I want stupid people to leave me alone. I want my brother to stop stealing my stuff. I want to hurry up and graduate already. I want steak for dinner tonight. I want more star wars books. I want more free time. I want......

I like the forums too smile

Re: AIM / iChat

Seeing how iChat is based upon the AIM protocol, I don't agree that the icon should be changed.  Eventually Apple may integrate compatibility with other messenger services into iChat.  What would you propose we do then... Change all of the icons to iChat?  Or change it back again to AIM?  It's based on AIM.  Not everyone uses iChat.  Some people use other messengers that are compatible with AIM.  Keeping the icon the way it is makes life simpler.
