OS X not connecting.
I just upgraded my 400 mhz slot-loading iMac w/ 512 Meg-o-ram, OSX and whatever x.y.z.version i downloaded from apple last week. I'm running the latest (last week) version of the OSX-GUI.
I have not dorked up my machine with any extra software.
I have "automatically connect to the internet" turned ON.
The trouble is: when the work unit is done, my machine isn't connecting. I'm using the internal 56K modem, i have the modem set try dialing a few times ... but ... I come home from work and
SETI jus sez it's waiting to connect.
Any ideas?
P.S. i was thimking of shifting over to the CLI version, although I haven't even invoked the all-powerful terminal.app or whatever it's called.
tia!
