To sleep or not to sleep...

I'm just getting started in all this folding stuff and I was wondering:

If my computer goes to sleep, which I have it set to do after a halfhour or so, does that stop or slow down the folding process?

confused
Thanks in advance.

Re: To sleep or not to sleep...

That will stop your progress.  If you want to get the most folding time, set only your monitor to go to sleep, but not your cpu or hard drive.

If you are curious about power consumption, you can always go here
It is from the Folding@Home FAQ page.

Re: To sleep or not to sleep...

I always just turn off the monitor if im getting up and walking away (And i know no one else will touch the computer), and i guess thats the best you can do to save energy when you are folding.
