If you could be a movie character....
who would you be?
I am pretty sure I would want to be Indiana Jones.
runners up would be Thomas Crown, and Danny Ocean (Ocean's 11)
as for literature, I suppose you can add that, as well.
for that, Francisco d'Aconia from Atlas Shrugged, with the Count of Monte Cristo as the runner up.

Not a Star Wars fan eh?
Honestly, Luke had sweet super powers, a bunch of ghosts that followed him around and gave him advice, he could kick damn near anyones ass, and he was the savior of the friggin galaxy.
However, if I couldn't be Luke I'd want to be Lando Calrissian.
He was one smooth man.

Except I wouldn't go for the whole running from the law thing. I mean, eating people is a matter of personal taste, but that character undeniably has things figured out for himself.
Purely literary:
Nick Carraway
Well, one mustn't choose Jay because he dies a rather unfortunate death. Furthermore, Nick leads a much simpler life than Jay, and perhaps less obscene.
Now I feel like reading that book again... it's been a while but I remember I loved it.
Most people don't realize that large pieces of coral, which have been painted brown and attached to the skull by common wood screws, can make a child look like a deer.
