Crazy shut down action
I managed to pick up a PowerComputing PowerTower Pro 225, but it randomly shuts down. It's the sort of thing where it goes down like you hit the button on the front (the sound is different from when I shut down from the Special menu). ADB also ceases to work sometimes. Might these be connected? If I can get it to run reliably, I can drop a USB card in it, so I'd appreciate any help.

Re: Crazy shut down action
It may be a problem with either the motherboard or the powersupply. If your powersupply is dying, it may be affecting the ADB because I believe that the ADB is hooked into the power so that you can use the power key on the keyboard for that forced restart deal even when the computer freezes. I know that that was an issue with the USB, you can't do the three fingered salute when the computer totally freezes. The other logical problem is that the motherboard may be going bad. Also, try cleaning the dust off the board and reseating all the ram and such.
Hope this helps.

Uh oh! Max's severed head? If this is the prequel to a horse head on my doorstep, I'll get to work looking for a new one.
