samba related kernel panics
I have generated 3 kernel panics thus far, and the cause have been using samba.
I had reformatted my HD two weeks ago because I was getting random kernel panic very frequently. It turend out to be a bad memory module (the one apple gave me). Since then I have not had problems, until recently again... This time, however, I know the problem, its with samba and only with samba. I have had 3 kernel panics, all related to samba, that's what the panic.log says that cause it. Is anyone else having these problems? It seems to occur when i'm connected to PC Samba servers for a givin amount of time. I was running 10.2, and after the first panic, upgraded to 10.2.4, but had two more, so the updates didn't fix them. (I didn't go to 10.2.5 because of all the problems people had with it).
I was wondering if anyone else was having these problems?

Re: samba related kernel panics
Network nOOb question here: is mounting a CIFS:// server the same as using samba? If so, I haven't had that problem, but I'm usually only logged onto the Windows server long enough to grab a file and log off.

Re: samba related kernel panics
Yes, I believe that mounting a CIFS server is the same as mounting a SMB server. At least, that's what Apple's description of OS X leads me to believe.

Its strange, because that is the only reason for those 3 kernel panics. I'm a bit confused.
