Re: two towers
I'm planning to rally some friends and go see it on Christmas day. Last year I got a bunch of people together, we went to a Chinese restaurant and then went and saw the movie. Hoping to do the same thing this year. Good old Jewish Christmas

OK I just saw the movie + I got a great poster of the white gandalf for free
About the movie, without spoilers
. I thought it was great, lots of special effects but none too disturbing. A little more humor this time which was good, you can clearly see the friendship between those guys (won't mention who).
Ofcourse I haven't read any of the 3 books, I will read them after the 3 movies have been released.
Can't wait for the third one.

maybe just a little bit faster, but not that much. They did talk about how I imagined them to talk.

Re: two towers
I saw it last night...
Pretty sweet
except I thought the Helm's Deep battle scene was a little drawn out, they cut into too much of the ent's gathering, and they dropped the whole "orcs run away into the forest that wasn't there the night before and no trace of them is ever seen again" thing.

Not to mention that the movie ended at a different place/time then the book did

Re: two towers
I just saw it tonight...It was definitely not money wasted, but it wasn't all I had hoped for. I thought it strayed a bit too much from the book in areas it didnt need to, and spent too much time dwelling on unnecessary stuff...(long drawn out aragorn and arwen scenes, although liv tyler is damn fine!!!
) and i couldnt help but be irked by some of the corniness....skateboarding on a shield paaaleeeeeeeze!...all in all decent flick but couldve kicked far more arse.
