Hey Alt, can you even get a network adapter for it? Out here there isnt any. Always sold out constantly. Ive never even seen a marking on a store shelf. I'd get SOCOM if it wasnt broadband only. Tho I hear there have been some problems keeping it broadband only. In the last OPSM they noted that a bunch of 56k ppl are playing it thru some hack or loop hole in the network that allows dialup connection play.

I had to preorder the Network Adapter at my local GameSpot.  Wasn't too bad since the store was across the street from my old apartment.  It was sold out everywhere else I looked.

I've heard about the hacks for running SOCOM off a dialup connection, mostly involves running some sort of NAT router on your PC.  Since the connection is through the Ethernet port, the PS2 thinks it's on broadband.

Groid, I think Madden is going to be my next PS2 purchase.   I only have the demo that comes with the adpater right now.  If I get the game I'll let you know my screen name.
