Re: HOT! Too hot for me!
On a relevant note, my ATTIC was over 90 degrees yesterday. You really think 75 is too hot? I have an overweight rabbit who doesn't mind going outside in this weather.

Re: HOT! Too hot for me!
I was there between 2000 and 2002. There were two Pizzerias in Homer by then, but I'd have to say that neither one was very good. (I'm from New York - that's where you want to go for good pizza. Either Brooklyn, or "Franco Di Roma" in Middletown NY.) Nowhere in AK was there a good Chinese place (nor on the west coast, for that matter).
I didn't mind the Summertime weather at all, and even the winter was just fine... but the light! Bright daylight for 20 hrs is ok, but the reverse in winter just about drove me batty.
Remember the Sedge? That's why I was there. It's been decommissioned now.
I guess I haven't had very good pizza then. The strange thing was, the best pizza in town (at least in my opinion) was in a Mexican Resturaunt. Don Joses. Well, here in kodiak, all they have is Pizza hut (Crap) Dominos (Crap) and Big Als (better, but still crap). So to me homer seems like the city of pizza kings to me right now.
I never went to pioneers pizza, I heard it wasn't to great, but Starvin Marvins was pretty good.
Yes, the sedge, I would here that all the time on the marine radios. Coast Guard Cutter Sedge, Coast Guard Cutter Sedge...

Re: HOT! Too hot for me!
Pizza Hut is the best Pizza place in town... So that shows that we got really crappy pizza places... As for Big Als, I hate it.

Pioneer Pizza was better than Starvin Marvin's, but not by a lot. Both of them slaughter chain pizza (Pizza Hut, Dominos], but the best by far has to be the NY pizza I mentioned before.
Then again, Pizza in Alaska at least resembled Pizza. In Europe? No chance. More like random odd toppings on a pita.

I never went to pioneers, I was told it wasn't good, but maybe they got a lot better. I also didn't go at the time becasue then it was in a pretty sleezy building.
But man, you didn't go to DonJoses! They had the best pizza and mexican food! (although, the only thing I ate there was pizza

On the contrary! I really liked Don Jose's! I just never had their pizza.

Re: HOT! Too hot for me!
Yea, I can expect that. Who would walk into a Mexican Resturaunt thinking to order pizza without knowing it?
Man I miss that place. OMG the salsa and chips they made. DA BOMB! The chips were awesome and the salsa I could eat plain out of a bucket!

Re: HOT! Too hot for me!
I'm not quite one mile inland from the beach, Triana. That is key to getting the weather moderated by the ocean and allowing me to boast. Thirty miles inland is way way too far to get much ocean-effect. Thirty miles inland is nasty smoggy and hot in LA.

I live very close to the ocean... If I look closely through the trees, outside my window, I might see it (its about 200-300 yards from my house, just trees are blocking the view)

Re: HOT! Too hot for me!
Either my dad, mom or one of my brothers were in the shower, and they came out... I had to go to the bathroom really bad, so I went in, and I almost died beacause it was sooooo humid in there, I was like covered in water when I came out.

Of course, it's not like you have all that much cause to run.
