Best format for encoding iMovie files
Using iMovie, what is the best file format to archive home videos?
I'm using a Sony HI8 camcorder and firewire to import.
I want the best quality at a not so huge size. I also want to be able to watch the videos in full screen mode and not have it look crappy.

I'm not an expert on this, but I have found that exporting the movie back to your video camera appears to be the best. This might defeat your purpose, but it works for me. It's also the fastest.
I would, however, like to hear what others are doing.
