Re: Things I've learned by watching movies

This reminds me of the "40 things I learned from Independence Day" I saw years back.

Highlights:

5: If alien "Destroyers" come to your city to blast it into oblivion and you are caught in traffic at the last minute, make sure that you are NOT a raspy-voiced homosexual cable TV executive. The Law of Averages says you'll get waxed by the Death Ray.

17: People too drunk to walk can still fly crop dusters and F-18s.

36:  In 10 hours, one man with a Macintosh Laptop can code a virus in C++ that will take down a completely alien computer system.

Did you guys see the Simpsons where Homer died and had to do a good deed so he grabs a baby out of a runaway baby carriage and when the carriage hit a wall it exploded...  I found that quite clever...

23.7 - Pre-1974, all black guys were ghetto brothers. Post-1974, a few were super-intelligent ex-ghetto brothers.

4 - Foreigners conveniently speak American, albeit in a poor accent, when require.

26. (also from Independence Day) If the Swirling Torrent of Blazing Hot Death is about to overtake you, make sure you remember to shut the door---it will protect you from anything.

26. Leather belts are stronger than tornadoes. Always keep one with you.

27. Shoulder-fired rocket launchers produce no backspray. This is helpful to know if you're ever in cramped quarters with one, like, say, a helicopter.
