divx, .avi, .mpeg/.mpg on mac question....
some of my files, mostly movie trailers intermittently run or don't run on my eyemac. It has the latest drivers, divx 5.0.7 with quicktime 6.0.3......any suggestions or alternative media player links so i can always play these files?

I say just dump quicktime for VLC media player. It plays just about any file thrown at it including divx, vcd, svcd, wmp, mov, and dvds. I have been using it for a pretty long time, even the original linux releases and never had a file it would not play well with.

Make sure to grab the 3ivx plug in for Quicktime too at http://www.3ivx.com
