In the Review for Belkin's Auto Kit for iPod on p.56 of the Sept. 2003 Issue, the stated requirements for its use are iPod with Dock Connector (check) and "working car cigarette-lighter socket." I don't know about you, but I wouldn't really except a non-working car-cigarette lighter to work with anything; not even something as amazing as this iPod accessory.
