Power cord has bought the ranch
Close as I can tell, the power cord has shot craps. Piece of crud-angel-hair-pasta thickness of the DC cord finally was no match for being packed and unpacked.
Anyone else had to replace? Does the UFO/hockey puck from the Wall Streets work? Anyone used Madsonline? Your thoughts appreciated.

Re: Power cord has bought the ranch
My old power converter on my TiBook (Same white brick) threw a few sparks at me where the angel hair wire meets the brick. I just took it to the Apple store and they were happy to give me a new one..
I'm pretty sure the yoyo adaptor is NOT to be used with newer models..

Re: Power cord has bought the ranch
I have the Madsenline adapter. It just makes the connector on an old powersupply the right size to fit the iBook. I use it with the DC adapter I bought for my PowerBook 1400. I am pretty careful with it as the Madsen adapter adds about an inch to the powerplug. I bet if you were not careful you could break the power in connector off the motherboard.
My cord also shot sparks and Apple replaced it no problem, no charge.
The yoyo power cords, and the old style grey ones all have the same voltage so you can use them without any problems. Or at least I've been doing so for six months. Madsen adapter cost like $25.
