Well, I just finished placing my order. I've been looking at the 12 inch iBook for months now and had planned on buying one this month. I waited until after MacWorld just in case. I really didn't think they would release a new laptop since they had just updated the others less than two months ago. Imagine my surprise. I'm very pleased and can't wait to get my hands on it.

The shipping time is listed as 2 to 4 weeks so we'll see.

But seriously, I am so tickled by these new product releases. I think that was the best keynote in the past two years as far as bang for the buck. I am seriously stoked to get my hands on my new powerbook.

It just moved out of "being reviewed" into "being assembled". I'm sure it will sit there for at least a couple of weeks. I've already told my friends that they probably won't want to hang around me for a few weeks while I'm waiting for it to ship smile I'll be checking the website multiple times every day I'm sure to see if there is any change.

Absolutely. I'll give a full review. A friend of mine is waiting to see it too before he decides which laptop he's going to purchase. I have checked the website a minimum of three times per day since I ordered it even though I have no expectation of it shipping before at least two weeks time passes smile

yay, im getting one too!
actually i ordered mine on the 8th as well, and it changed to being assembled shortly after. cant wait for the 2 - 4 weeks to be over (better be 2 weeks like steve said!) and my friends cant wait either so ill shut up about it. hehe, just a little obsessed. lol.

Yeah, I saw your post. That is so awesome that you were able to switch your order from the 15" to the 17". That's like getting a surprise gift smile

I actually orderd mine on the 7th so I'm a little ahead of you in line wink

The time on these forums is messed up. It used to show West coast time but the time it is showing now is actually East coast + 5hours which I think is GMT or Eastern European Time.
