Sim City 4

Ok...so I have been playing this for about a week and after half a dozen cities I am getting the hang of it and in the region I am playing I want to effectively start over.

I accidentally deleted one of the zones in the region and it leveled out the land in the zone completely. I figure I would just go ahead and reinstall the game. Upon reinstalling I fired up the region and the one zone was still messed up.

Is there a preferences folder in OS X that I can delete that will put the region back to where it was before I messed it up?

Re: Sim City 4

There is a SimCity folder in your Home Folder Documents. That holds your City Data

Re: Sim City 4

So delete this then reinstall and the region should be all back to normal, right?

Post it here when you get it to work.  The only money cheat I could get to work is 1000 at a time.  Too slow.

I picked up this Mod form Simtropolis and it has 3 different $ cheats. 1 million, 5 million and 25 million.

It says to put the mod into your plugins folder and when you start a new city you will have the amount of that mod. It says I will have the amount I installed but when I go into Mayor mode for the first time I still only have 100,000. So I have to do the "weaknesspays" code which is time consuming.

There is a hint though to making that cheat work faster.

Bring up the console and type in "weaknesspays" and hit enter.

Bring up the console again, hold shift, then hit the up arrow key. This will automaticlaly fill in "weaknesspays". While still holdng shift hit enter. Hold shift and alternate hitting up arrow and shift.

That's a lot easier that typing it out every time.

Yeah, I knew about that one.  I was hoping there was a way to speed it up like in the Sims.

Re: Sim City 4

Ok...I got the $ mod from Simtropolis to work:

Pick the amount you want to use (1, 5, 25 million) and put it in the following location:

Sim City 4/Sim City 4 Data/Plugins

Start the game and select your region. Do your terraforming and then start the city.

Then you must Obliterate the city and then go back to the region and select the zone again and start the city. You will have the amount of the Mod you have installed.

I do not know if the Obliterate will afect the terraforming you did the first time around.

I know it's a wonky way of getting it to work but it works.

Re: Sim City 4

Does 'cass' still work in SimCity 4?

I haven't played since SimCity 1.5 on my Plus.
