No, the topic is why is two women kissing considered "sexy" but two men kissing is not.

So since you've placed yourself here as a prime example of someone who has issues with it, why do the last 2 pics make you go "blech"?

It doesn't make me sick, but I have no interest in seeing two guys kiss each other. I'm indifferent towards both two females kissing and two guys kissing.

Well, I, for one, wasn't being completely serious, because obviously people find many different things beautiful. But, in a male-dominated history leading to a present-day male-dominated society (in Western culture, I guess I should qualify), obviously, the main desire of the dominant type (in this case, het males) is going to be the main form in advertising, et al. And het men enjoy seeing women together, kissing, whatever, for all the myriad of reasons (non-facetiously) expressed here.

Ok, let me rephrase that. I'm not going to drool all over myself seeing two chicks kiss. I like to see it, but it doesn't mean I'm some macho-man trying to prove my masculinity.

If you like or don't like to see guys kissing, whatever. Everyone has different tastes and levels of maturity.

1. Women are sexual objects.
2. If you find other men attractive, you're gay, you're pussy, you're less of a man.

That's why most men try to appear 'masculine' by overstating how they love women (naked or not, making out with other women, etc.) Anyone who believes men (in general) enjoy seeing women kissing because men are ugly, doesn't have a slight idea of what beauty is.

It's not just male chauvinism, in my opinion. I know plenty of women who have the same double standards over men and women kissing.

I think it's still boils down to two women kissing is socially more acceptable than two men doing so. This social acceptance implies chauvinism in the sense that since it pleases men then it's ok. Also maybe women want to get men interested by doing something that they know is going to get their attention. For example I often see at a bar I go, two women getting on the bar and pretending (often with a dildo) that one is giving the other a blow job. This usually gets the attention of the male audience in the bar.

I know just as many girls who like guy/guy as guys who like girl/girl. The girls just don't talk about it as much as the guys it seems.

I'm straight, though I find both men and women attractive. I think its more of geometrical aesthetics than anything. I find more women attractive simply because I think the curves and whatnot are more aesthetically pleasing than the average male's shape. Guy's kissing, however, just seems odd and unnatural. So does female kissing, but less so than guys.

I think girls are good looking, and I don't think guys are. I've even asked girlfriends why they are attracted to guys. I don't get it, occasionally I think about how it is that my girlfriend finds me attractive and not some other chick.

There was a study done where they asked a group of women and men how often they masturbate/look at porn. The test was set up so that the first time they handed in their answers it was to a researcher. The second time they put their answers in a box with a researcher sitting next to it. The third time there was just the box.

The men's answers never changed, or changed little on all three tests. However, the women's answers changed each time, with more women admitting to masturbating/viewing porn as each test gave them more anonymity.

Beauty is largely determined by societal pressures. One gender is not any more or less attractive than the other. Penises are not ugly and neither are vaginas. Women are as well built for their biological purpose as men are for theirs. In western society we place more value in a woman's body (not necessarily in a good way), but this is not true of every culture.

Kai ... i can only speak for myself. I don't think women are starting to adopt this viewpoint. It's always been there. They're just talking about it more now. It's simple. some women get turned on seeing other women engaged in acts, just as men do. Doesn't mean they're gay or otherwise. it's just what turns them on.

Also, I have to take issue with studies of men and women that involved inanimate visual aids. Those statistics can be very misleading because most women aren't as easily stimulated visually as men are. In other words, they generally don't look at a magazine picture and get off. Video is a whole different matter.
