ripping cd problem (maybe).....

when using itunes, how fast is a cd supposed to be ripped at?  mine is ripping at about 6x tops.  I dunno if thats normal or not, but it just seems really slow.

No that is normal. If you have the Combo DVD/CD-RW, then it will be slower than just a plain CD-RW drive.

I'm lucky to get 4x! This is ripping on a 500 iBook. Jaguar, 192MB memory

I can get 10x on my iBook if I am doing nothing else (not even playing the CD on import) but if I try to do anything else, the speed drops considerably (4x or sometimes 3x).


I've got a LANDSAT image of my house!  Check it out!
