Way to Open Access Files on a Mac?
My mom is considering taking up the position of registrar for my community band, but all the database files are in microsoft access format. Is there a way to somehow make these files readable and editable on a Mac? We have filemaker pro 6, and although it did this conversion thing when we opened the access file, it turned out to be just jarbled characters where text should have been, something like this: $#*%$&$##
If any of you can help, I'd really appreciate it. I hope we can come up with a better solution than Virtual PC.

Will it open Access database files? Or just office files like word and excel? We have office, but I'll try openoffice for the Access files. Thanks!

You're more likely to find a way to export the data in a usable format from Access, than find an app that can import it, in my opinion.
