i've herd putting duckt tape on a wart will help/make it go away, so now im trying it on this one on my hand. Has anybody tried this, does it actually work?
as long as you are alive there is a chance that you will die.... but eventually fate catches up with you.

Re: duct tape wart cure
it does... basically the glue in the tape acts as an irritant to the wart and it dies
You know the hole, the one you put the pie in?

Re: duct tape wart cure
Fortunately, I don't get warts, so I've never had to try. It's a good thing to keep in mind though...

Re: duct tape wart cure
There was a study on this last year that received a lot of press. It concluded that duct tape was more effective than cryotherapy (freezing with liquid nitrogen) for removing warts.
That said, the article caused a lot of controversy and they are still going back and forth about it in the "letters" section of the journal. It's mostly pissed-off dermatologists who stand to lose a lot of money if people are treating their own warts at home.
There are specific instructions in the article.
Here's a link.

Bleh. The only problem is what you do in school when someone asks ... 'Yeah, I'm wearing this duct tape because I've got warts.' EWWWWW
Ah well, it's better than all that over-priced dermatology stuff

Didn't they just release a do-it-yourself freeze-your-wart-off kit for use at home?

What's wrong with Compound W? Duct tape takes about a month. Doesn't CW work in a couple of weeks? Added bonus: you don't rip hair off when refreshing the Compund W.

Nope. Six days.
Edit: Oop, my mistake, you have to reapply every six days. I guess it does take almost a month.

A friend of mine once sliced off a wart with a razor blade. Quickest cure I ever saw.

Razors work wonders. I had a tiny part of my skin pinched by a desk clamp (large metal ones)... it was just a cut at the time, but it formed a little bumb that I thought was a wart. I tried wart removal and such... but that didn't work. Apparently it was just skin growing in a bump because of the injury.
Sliced that mofo up one day when I was pissed off. Now it's gone and you'd never be able to tell it was there.
