Is there a terminal equivalent to the DOS net view command?

If so, what is it?

What does net view do? I'm not a DOS user, so I don't know.

I do know that you can see active connections with

Code:

netstat -f inet

Also, the Network Utility application (in the folder /Applications/Utilities) has a bunch of useful tools.

yea, I also am not familiar with DOS, but tcpdump tells you all communications happening.  You can read the man pages about it in detail,

tcpdump host youriphere

will display all connections that are going to or originating from your IP.  You will need root privilages to execute this command.  Hope this is what you where looking for.

What a jackass. Who does that? Who says they found the answer to their own question but doesn't post it?

Eh.

I didn't actually say "PC user", but rather "j@cka55" and it seems that it was censored.

Yeah the censor does that. You can turn it off in the display preferences.

Anyhoo, got to love it when someone comes in asking a cryptic question then later posts he knows what he was talking about and found and answer and leaves never to be seen from again because I like to make really long, run on sentences that never seem to have an end in site but this usually means I have to resort to being redundant to fill up space in the sentence and if that doesn't work I start talking about what I did until I explain what I just did then I can't say that anymore so I go on to the explanation of what I am doing and then I explain that until I get really tired and say that I am tired and then I finally jump into the future and explain that I will swear at you and then I will say smurf off.
