Don't know if I count or not, I live just on the east side of the San Andreas fault, when 'the BigOne' comes I'll have beach front property.
Here's the web site for residents in and around the Old Fire / Grand Prix areas, it was in my emailbox courtesy of my local state assemblyman:

Really scary.

Re: Zoo cam
Because you asked:
The fires in San Diego are well into the mountains now, however there are still several populated areas threatened. If anyone is interested, the small town of Cuyamaca, and Cuyamaca State Park were totally leveled last night... theres pretty much nothing left...
As of this morning it was feared that the town of Julian, famous for its apples, would faces the same fate as the 45 mile long wall of fire approaches, as of yet there sill has not been any word...

That is sad. Julian's a neat little town and Tom and I always planned on camping up around Lake Cuyamaca, I think they were supposed to have a Trout Derby up there next weekend or so to kick off fishing season (it starts in SoCal about the time it ends in the Sierras)
It doesn't seem like there is going to be any Alpine forest left in SoCal when this is over. Even if people can rebuild or they escaped the worst, it's going to take a lifetime or two for the natural habitat to come back in most places, if the desert doesn't continue it's march to the Pacific.
