Version 3.08, iMac 17" G4, OS 10.2.8

When I first got Seti way long ago, there were no problems. Seti opened up after I was inactive for 5 mintues and did its thing.

However, after weeks (or months?) of perfectly normal operation, something strange happened. I can open up the Seti app myself, and it will run fine. I can put my mouse into the screensaver corner and it will run fine. However, usually what happens is I walk away from my computer and Seti will start itself. But now, after I am inactive for the set amount of time, the Seti dock icon bounces and it looks like it is opening. Then, as soon as the screen goes black, it immediately goes back to the desktop. It does this again and again and my Seti packet makes no progess.

The only thing I can think of is that when the saver starts, something makes it think there has been activity so it immediately closes and goes through the time cycle again. This started happening sometime ago, so I turned it off. I just decided to try it again tonight and the problem is still there.
