Re: Dumbass saleslady

How about you try to be a little less rude before you end up having your username locked out again?

Just another example of how rude and obnoxious our American society has become. sad

Re: Dumbass saleslady

I've been lucky in CompUSA lately - every time I've gone into one they've had a Mac specialist standing by, ready to answer any questions...

So was the "dumbass saleslady" in question.  That's the problem.   hmm

EEK... that was the Mac rep?

Sheesh.

I suppose I should ammend: I've met competent Mac specialists at the CompUSAs I've been to lately.

No, she wasn't the Mac rep. They consider iPods to be general consumer products and put them up with the digital cameras and stuff rather than in the Apple section.

I think it would be better if people who wanted an iPod had to go back to the Apple section and be exposed to the cool computers to buy one though. Not to mention the fact that the rep would have a friggin clue.

I've been unlucky in CompUSA lately - every time I've gone into one lately they've had a Mac specialist standing by, ready to answer any questions... and I haven't had any money to buy anything.  whaa

Same deal. Though as a side note and not completly on topic, my Apple store near me recently hired a VERY pretty young woman making her 1. the best looking Apple employee hands down. I say this only because all the others out of the two stores near me are refugees from "Revenge of the Nerds". 2. Sad thing is she knows relatively little about the computers but you find that you really don't mind....

And Oatmeal, what's the deal with using Dick Smith's head of Dorian Grey as your Avatar? Just Curious.

Well, yes. It was a wax sculpture made over a skull casting for a old televison version of "The Picture of Dorian Grey". It was made by Dick Smith, a rather famous make - up artist. In the make -up world he's known as the father of make-up effects.

Some of his work is the "Godfather" movies, "Altered States", "ghost Story", "Little Big Man" and a host of other films. He has invented a lot of what modern effects make up is today.

He'a also a great guy.

I was just curious if you knew what you where using.

Nope, I was blithely ignorant.  I just did a google image search for "zombie" and that was one of the results.

Interesting to know, though. up
