It puts the lotion in the basket . . .

Since we've been talking about movies so much lately, I'm curious to know who you consider to be the scariest, creepiest, most frightening villain? Let's stick to human characters.

As for non-humans, what film/actor has provided your favorite portrayal of the devil?

I've always loved Viggo Mortensen's portrayal of the devil in The Prophecy.

I love that quote.  I sometimes find myself saying it out for amusement.  big_smile  In fact, this is very eerie timing... I was just thinking yesterday about putting it in my signature!  eek

I agree.  I especially like that he spoke what was seemingly every language.

How about the nurse in One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest? Or Hannibal Lector. Or Jack Nicholson in The Shining. I'll think of something.

Oops, I wish I didn't post that! If I don't post anything in the next few days you will know Christopher Walken has killed me and dumped my body overboard a yacht. But come to think of it, he wouldn't be stupid enough to kill two people the same way. blotto

Man, I'm going to have to track that down and watch it.  I haven't seen it in about 12 years.

It puts the lotion in the basket . . .

I saw the South Park parody of that and I didn't get it. When I finally watched Silence Of The Lambs years later, I was glued to the screen through the whole thing.

As for "Hannibal", it was one of only one of two or three movies I ever decided to walk out of.

Back on topic, I agree about Pacino in Devil's Advocate. There's something about Pacino that makes me think that he really could be the devil.

Agree. That film was awful. So what were the other two movies?

I guess I just like the devils who are subtle, quiet and sexy. They lure you in without really having to try. Pacino . . . I just want to run away screaming from him. Gabriel Byrne was a good angry devil.
