Re: diggin' the new smilies!
More than likely we'll also add yours, we've just got to figure out what to do about overlapping smilies (like your version of the devil max and our version(s)).
Hard work may not kill you, but why take chances?

Re: diggin' the new smilies!
If you include them, great. If not, no biggie. Seriously, it makes no difference to me at all since you gave us the img tag.
If you include just one, all of them, or whatever, it's all good. I work in the design world, I'm used to thing not always going my way!
So, it's OK if you break up the set, I don't think anyone will be offended. Heck, I'm just glad to see more!

I'll probably put all of yours up sometime tomorrow, registered_user. Or maybe tonight if I feel like putting off homework even longer.

I have a couple. Do I need to wait for an audition of some kind?

Re: diggin' the new smilies!
pepsi? nah. Puking? Well, I mentioned before that Max hasn't the organs to actually vomit. (actually, it just looks like a mess to create -- both literaly and figuratively.)
But, there's blech:
oh, and now there's even spam:
Seriously, Freezer, I dabble with this when I'm not swamped with posting, so I'll look into making some of those, but I make no promises.

That one is great! I love it.
GUI--I guess you never "got around to it" eh?

Re: diggin' the new smilies!
Kudos!
I have a suggestion. How about a Max holding a Kudos bar such as the one holding the spam?
You could make the Kudos bar horizontal so that Max's hand is up/down instead of right/left... you know, for some variety. Also, I don't know if you are using Safari yet, but Safari tends to shake that can of Spam a little faster than I think what you were probably intending. It's more like a twitch if anything! How about an alternative, non-animated version? Oh and please, don't take this the wrong way, I think your smilies are awesome! It was yours that inspired me to create mine.

Re: diggin' the new smilies!
I am not offended at all. Part of putting something creative on the block is getting criticism. I try to take criticism positively whenever possible, and I thank you for taking the time to say something.
Well, it is supposed to be more of a twitch. I was inspired by Scott's
smiley with the toungue that wiggles (it's freaking awesome), and so I went with somethign similar. The effect is different, but I'm happy with it. It was static at first, but it seemed pretty dull and lifeless, so then I added a little twitch. I can put the orignal still one online Monday. It's on my computer at work.
A kudos bar, eh? Hmmm... I'll look into that. I don't want to go overboard on the product endoresments though.
Actually, what I've been trying to work out is a nodding Max. But I want the animation to be smooth, and it's a little tricky when you need to rotate his head. That and a drooling one. (Scott's cry smilie drips on the floor, which is also very cool, and that's what I envision would make a good drool). But, that's on the back burner until I can get some good creative time in. This weekend it's looking like work, work, work. And work paired with MAF procrastination is a bad, bad mix.

Well, alrighty then! The twitch stays then.
I just wasn't sure if it was exactly what you intended, and of course, I was too lazy to check it out with multiple browsers.
The nod and the drool both sound awesome! Are you planning on both a "yes" nod and a "no" nod? That would rock.
As far as product endosements are concerned... I don't think you need to worry. I doubt anyone is going to run out and buy a Kudos bar because they saw one in a forum somewere.
It was just a thought though. I wanted to get your opinion.
Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Re: diggin' the new smilies!
In fact, now that I've thought about it, it does work better with the twitch. The whole thing about Spam is that it is trying to get your attention. I think you pulled that off very well.
