I think there's a more sinister motive here. r_u's just pretending to give up his moderator position so he can gain the trust of the small band of subversives and then issue harsh shotgun justice with his concealed powers. It's a plan of such devious panache that it would have fooled you all had I not come to the rescue and outed the double-agent before he could begin his terrible mission.
