No dice on the pictures.

Which ones? The imbedded ones or the linked ones. Both are working here. I'll go try a diferent machine to verify.

Alright I just tried a machine that has never been to the MA forums. The link was fine, the imbedded ones didn't come up. Which is correct because that machine didn't have a profile to tell the forums to post imbedded picts.

Is your profile set to see the picts Swiss?

The embedded pictures don't work for me either.  The linked pics work fine, of course.

That's a nice machine Levi.  Are you getting ready for the next LAN?  wink

only bad thing is your case has one of thos god damn doors over the drives... ugg i hate thos dame things  mad  mad

and they even open the worng way too, they should open on the right side not the left (most desks fit the tower on the right side and teh display on the left) so you would have to reatch around the door when its open to put a CD in  roll ... arg WTF is up with that !?!?

lol sorry for my rant, its just that thos doors piss me the hell off  hmm

... next they will put doors over the case windows and displays  down

I don't know, Llev...  It looks like something's not hooked up right, since a lot of the wires and thingies inside are running so hot they're glowing!  You might want to double check your stuff...

It's close, with stat fps I see drop a to the mid 40s when things get crazy. The 64 is a good average. The scale is like mid 70s to mid 40s.

Re: Bwhahahaha! It lives!!

Thanks LLevi,

What do you guys base you fps on ? Every map has a different avg. and on every map, the avg. keeps changing. My avg. went from 35 fps to 65 fps. depending on the map and amount of action going on. obviously, open area maps were the worst. All these test were done with bot matches, I'm guessing the amount of bots might influence the performance.

Re: Bwhahahaha! It lives!!

Botmatches aren't consistent, since with the AI active, each plays out a bit differently; but they are a decent system test. Greater consistency and better tests of raw rendering power are had in the flybys, where DM-Asbestos seems the most consistent.

And yes, the more bots, the more the CPU is stressed. A few sources have worked up modified test scripts to gain consistency; they're PC, tho, so if you're allergic...

What we're using LG is the benchmark util in UT2003's system folder. Double click on it, select the res, sit back and enjoy the show. After it runs you get a nice lil report screen. That is what I posted.

There's a Timedemo mode built into the game... look in the game's System Folder and you'll see an icon that says 'Benchmark.' It's a separate executable; double-click it, set desired resolution and it'll run 2 maps with both botmatches and flybys, and record the results in a text file. Each run will generate a framerate high, low and average.

...and now I find I've wasted my time. Oh well.

Anyway, LLevi, you seem to be only slightly in advance of the factory with the vidcard...

At the top of the heap, Sapphire is working with Koolance on a RADEON 9800 XT card with water-cooling. We were given a sneak peek of this exciting card at the show:

Is that with everything set to the highest settings? I mean I have every box checked and every field set to high or highest. The benchmark useds those settings.

Why... yes... yes it was.  twisted  wink

< serious this time > Actually I believe I posted some real benchmark data with G4 v G5 comparisons in a prior thread.

I was just overclocking my PC, running some UT2003 benchmarks, and I remembered this thread and how the above score seemed really low for your system, Levi.

My latest bench looks like this:
Athlon XP Barton @ 2.19 GHz, 175 MHz FSB, 512 MB RAM @ 350 MHz
Radeon 9600 Pro @ 440 MHz core/322 MHz memory
7200 rpm WD 60 GB ATA/100 HD

1024x768
Flyby: 161.32
Botmatch: 77.66

I can't go any higher on the resolution, so I don't know if bumping it up one notch would drop the frames that much, but it seems like your machine should be able to outperform mine with no trouble at all...

In case anyone cares, my 3DMark score went from ~2100 to ~2700 big_smile
All of that o/cing is without unlocking the processor, too (12.5x multiplier is the highest it will go without doing so).
