Re: I need some tip...
First, I'd put UT2K3 in a window so I could get to the desktop. Verify there if the connection is really gone or if UT2K3 just dumped me out. To verify I'd just launch a browser, if I got a web page then things are good to go.
Now if you keep getting knocked off, but your connection always good. A few times going to a browser will confirm this. You can just add a automatic reconnect key to your user.ini file. I have one and it's great. I also have a disconnect key as well. This way you only need to hit one key to get back into the game and it's very fast.
To do a reconnect and disconnect key.
Open your user.ini file in a text editor.
Select an unsued key, I currently use "Home" and "End".
Add reconnect or disconnect after the =.
Mine looks like this:
Home=reconnect
End=disconnect
Close and save
Now if you're going to window, and finding that your connection is gone. Then we're gonna need some more info. What kind of connection are you on, DSL, dial up, etc... Are you using PPPoE, router or some other device to connect. Are there others using the net?
When I first started out I was using some Ether program to connect. It was some PPPoE dailing program. I had to set it to keep connection alive, other wise it would just disconnect out of the blue. Same with my router now, I have it set to keep the connection alive.

Re: I need some tip...
Brain, the way that I know is to edit the UT2003.ini file.
In the [SDLDrv.SDLClient] section you will see
WindowedViewportX=1280 <<<< specify window size here
WindowedViewportY=800 <<<< specify window size here
FullscreenViewportX=1280
FullscreenViewportY=800
MenuViewportX=640
MenuViewportY=480
Brightness=0.800000
Contrast=0.700000
Gamma=0.800000
UseJoystick=False
JoystickNumber=0
IgnoreHat=False
JoystickHatNumber=0
CaptureMouse=True
StartupFullscreen=True <<<< change to False to start in window
ScreenFlashes=False
...
Now I would think that there is a command that will do this in game but I don't know it... yet.

Found it!
On the command line it is Togglefullscreen OR
do option-return on the keyboard and that toggles between fullscreen and windowed.
Oh and when you are in windowed mode you command-tab to switch out of 2K3 to another program.
