i went out n got myself a gamepad (controller) cuz i hate using a one finger track ball, annoying as hell. but it says its native impact on OS X platform, does that meen i gotta install it? cuz when i install it goes into os 9.2.2, also when i just use it w/o install it doesnt do anything

This would be better suited to the Games forum as it has nothing to do with Halo whatsoever.

OS X has virtually no gamepad or joystick support. You'll have to use a third party program called USB Overdrive. Heck, even Apple has it linked off their website. You can grab the latest version here. However, take note that it is shareware. But if you plan on using such gaming devices for OS X in the future, I'd say it's quite a good investment.

I'm not sure whether Halo in particular supports gamepads or not. I believe I read from Macsoft's FAQ (on the official website) that gamepad support is not available in the Mac version and was simply a leftover (read unusable) from the PC port. They say future support for gamepads may be a possibility. Anyway, good luck if you can get it working. I'm sure others are in your position too.

thx for tellen me that, cuz i had seen somtin with a similar name on my dads comp, i just checked it out n he allrdy has it
