Ok, got my Radeon 9800, now some uestions.
Ok, I got it, turned pixel shaders on and WHOA everything looks better then on the Xbox. But yet with all the other settings running like they did on my GF4Ti, like detail and shadows and FPS, its all laggy when Im in combat, or when there a few vehicles running around, and it did not get laggy before in these situations, I have FSAA off, I have no clue what it does but it seemed to be making everything worse, lens flair on max, high detail.
Also, whats that thingy above the shadow option do? I don't understand.

Also, even with everything on high, the covenant, jackal shields dont look as good with all the little electric waves like on the xbox, and the shields on the wall in the covenant docking bay on their ship, solid colors fading into other colors, but not all cool like on Xbox.
Everything else looks good, just laggy.

Yes.
Expect only decent framerates. You can enable all features, even try 4x/8x FSAA/ AF, but keep res down to 640x480- your platform lacks the power to push enough polys to take anywhere near full advantage of the card, so make it look good.
As to looks, that's tougher... lately I've been concerned that some features might be lacking in the Mac eD., as it's based on PC PS spec 1.1, very basic, ca. 3 years old (the GF3 supports PS1.1). Shaders 1.4 (Xbox standard) and PS2.0 (current) were not used for some reason. This is the second instance I've heard examples of.
Keep watching my screen postings- new ones soon.
(Or a CPU upgrade).

Arg, well I can either deal with it like it is now for like a year or more until my dad buys me my G5, or get a processor upgrade before then.

Going back to the FF path will make it look as it did, albeit you can run higher res- but it might get you a substantial speed boost for MP. You can enjoy the eye candy in SP. Pays to experiment.
