Um, DOS shell?

Having just ordered my new router, I'm going to have a go at running and RTCW server on my PC laptop, so we can take advantage of some of the mods out there.

While I wait for the little beauty to arrive, I'm trying to configure the OSP mod so we're ready to go as soon as I get set up. There's only one problem.

Not being entriely clued up with PC's, I'm completely baffled as to how to start a dedicated server in a DOS shell. I know what I need to type, just not where.

Can anybody help?

Re: Um, DOS shell?

Eaisest way to open the dos window is go to Start -> Run and type 'cmd' without the quotes into the dialog box, and click OK.

If your DOS command is one line, you can make it double-clickable by typing it into notepad, and saving the file with a .bat extension.
