Well, seeing as how it's been a while since we all got together and played, I was wondering if there was any interest in a tournament, preferably sometime next week. I personally will return to the land of broadband and fancy computers on Saturday, and I think bird will be set up again by mid to late next week. Other members have made noises about getting back into playing after the holidays are over, and I figure that a CTF or Team Deathmatch tournament would be a good way for the clan to re-activate itself.

So, who would be interested in getting together to play as a group some time next week? Maps, gametypes, and times are up for debate, and any proposals will be welcomed.

Sounds great, I have two weeks off starting saturday (exams), so I'll probably be able to make it. I only have one exam, so I won't have to study like mad.

I'm down. The moving truck coming (and me having to help schlep stuff) would be the only thing keeping me from participating. But what are the chances of that? So, set the time, and I'll be there.

I think that Saturday evening would work well for me. And by Saturday, I mean this coming one, the 17th. I probably won't be up and running until about 7:30 or 8:00 Pacific Time, and if that's too late for people, Sunday works too.

So Saturday evening/night as of right now, but open to change.

For gametype, I think that Kill The Emp is good, and, if we have enough people, Team DM or just straight up DM would be good too. We can mix it up in play, if the desire strikes.

So, any who have trouble with that time slot, speak up. And any other game type suggestions are welcome and encouraged.

(I've noticed myself using the word "ain't" a lot lately, and I'm not amused at my own incorrectness. Cuz I ain't about the bad grammar, yo.)

not this fri, but a fri or sat. I'm on the east coast... I won't be on past midnight probably est. (9:00 pst I guess). Stupid question, but JK2 right? Sorry, but I never heard of the deathmatch gametype, just my n00by ignorance shining through. That's bout it though.

To clarify a few things:
By deathmatch, I did indeed mean FFA. Sorry, it's my FPS roots showing through. big_smile
And the tournament will indeed by JK2, as I can think of at least four or so key members who lack the game.

It sounds like a few people can't make it in the later evening, so why don't we say the tournament will start at about 7:30 Pacific time. I may or may not be there, but that leaves about an hour and a half of playing time for those of us who can't stay all night, and god knows how long for those of us who can. wink

To MacAddict314: I don't really think any other weekends will work for me personally, but if you can round up enough interest, we could always have another one. big_smile It's always fun to play with my fellow MacAddicts. You guys are the best of a rather varied bunch.

So, to sum up: be on the server at 7:30 PM Pacific Time, or be square. Hopefully w can fill up the entire server. (But not before I get there, ok? tongue )

EDIT: Oh, does everyone have an IRC program? It would be kinda neat to meet up in IRC beforehand and chat and such. and hey! all my smilies line up!

7:00 PST... so that like what... 9:00 Central time? Yeah, I'll reserve the 'net machine for it. I'll say its a event of dire importance, to which the entire world will cease to exist if I'm NOT online at that exact time. wink

As far as IRC, i'm not too familiar with it, meaning: no account, no program install, et cetera. I do have X-chat on my nix box but its offline. So, no can do. But I'll try to be on the server even if no one's there yet; so check that server tracker.

I'll be there sharpening my laser-blade. Mwahahhahah!!! twisted
