Subway vs Quiznos
First off i will say i won't ever eat at Quiznos. Rodents in food ads just taints my opinion of the restaurant.
Now, the only thing i hear people say about why Quiznos is so good is because they toast the sandwiches, but now Subway is doing that as well. Seems to me, Subway may give Quiznos some heavy competition now, not that they didn't already, but now even moreso.

I won't say Subway is great, but I like it better than Quiznos. Quiznos has a lot of good looking ingredients, but their sandwiches really seem to be lacking something.

I've only ate at Quiznos once and it was pretty good. Subway is so-so. I'll take Mr.Goodcents anyday over both of those places.

Re: Subway vs Quiznos
Quiznos is better, IMO anyway. I actually just had a tosted meatball sub from Subway and it was good, but tasted the same as before. Bread was still soggy, but the sandwich as a whole was hot, as opposed to warm like before. Quiznos subs the bread is crunchy, not soggy, plus you get the little peppers with a Quiznos sub.

Re: Subway vs Quiznos
I have never eaten at Quiznos. I frequent Subway because I work in a mall and they are one of the few places that offer food with some nutritional value in the food court. I am not saying that Subway is awesome, but its not bad. I prefer my neighborhood pizzeria(sp?) over Subway for a delicious sub.

First off, I never saw a rodent Quizno's ad here. Maybe they didn't air in Canada. I'll choose Quizno's over subway any day; it's just so much better. Subway leaves me nonplussed, Quizno's makes me want to come back for more!

Quiznos. Before they toasted their subs I had a bite of one and was hooked. I like their choices much more than Subway because they have more of the things I like (semi-picky eater). Though Subway changed this, I thought it was rather stupid that they just cut out a small section of the top to put the ingredients. Easy way to skimp the customer by selling "flavored bread"

Re: Subway vs Quiznos
Tough choice. I haven't found a sub at Quizno's that I like as much as what I get at Subway, but I agree that Quizno's has much better quality everything.

Never eaten at Quiznos. I've eaten at Subway once or twice, but I don't think I would given a choice. I'd rather have a real sandwich made with fresh ingredients, high quality meat, vegetables, cheese and bread. I like sandwhich shops. And if I'm getting a more sub-style thing I'll go to a pizza shop.

Re: Subway vs Quiznos
I only had to eat at Quiznos once to realize I would neve eat at Subway again.
I think the bread tastes better. I think the sauces/dressings taste better. THe ingredients look and taste better.
And Check this out:
Many moons ago I was at a Subway and I realized that my sandwich tasted funny. It was the lettuce. No big deal. That happens. I once worked in a place where there was lettuce. I'm practically an lettuce expert. Anyway I go up to the counter and look over the sneeze guard and whispered "Your lettuce has gone bad." To which the nice lady replies "Looks fine to me."
Flash forward to not so many moons ago. I am in a Quizons and wouldn't you know it. Bad lettuce. So I, being the lettuce expert, walked up to the counter and said "Your lettuce has gone bad." The nice lady walked over to the bin and changed out the bad lettuce for new lettuce (I can't call it good lettuce since I hadn't tasted it).
All that just to say: I like Quiznos. Now, I'm hungry

A winner!
Why give your "dough" to some chain operation when there are probably much better, locally owned sandwich shops to patronize? (Same w/pizza.)

I love the derranged honeygliders!
We don't have a Quiznos, but we have a Firehouse subs.
I prefer the Firehouse hot subs over the Subway subs, however the quality of employees here are lacking at the Subways here.
When I lived in the Atl, I lived with a gal that managed a Blimpie subs.
I never wanted for sandwich materials.

Quiznos sandwiches are blah, and the one I went to wouldn't let you see them make it. Their prep area was covered by stainless steel.
Subway isn't great but they're better. I can see Quiznos going out of business in my area in six months.

Exactly what I thought. Looked very tasty but wasn't tasty at all. I mean it didn't taste like anything. Blah.

Here, Subway's definition of toasting consists of crushing your sandwich in a T-Shirt press.

I used to work at Blimpies. The best thing about that place was the quart cups of beer (it was across from a university).

That describes Quizno's, at least the ones in my area. The ones in the States seem to be of more varying quality, based on your descriptions... Hmmm.

Re: Subway vs Quiznos
The thing I hated about Quiznos was the fact that toasting thing limited them. they sell their sandwiches with these crappy sauces. I don't want some funky sauce, i want mayo. But if they put the sandwich through the toasting oven without the sauce, the whole thing dried out.
I don't eat at either one anymore. If I want a sandwich, I get it from a local place.

Re: Subway vs Quiznos
That reminds me. We have a place here called "Pete's Jersey Subs". Man those things are, yum-my.
They actually "import" all the ingredients from the east coast and make some very de-lic-i-o-so subs.
I think a large is around 22"! Share it with all your friends.

Pray to your god that you never ever ever ever see that horrific "thing" singing.
Subway is ok, but I haven't set foot in the local one since that 2" cockroach decided to crawl out between the wall trim and my booth table.

Ditto here. Did you know there is a nasty stomach disease if you eat bad lettuce? Can't remember what it's called but it can hospitalize you.

I've only been once, but I reached the same conclusion. I had one of the chicken subs (this was all laid out in my Quiznos thread, but that's gone. gone!) and it was bland as bland.
I guess I don't see what's so exciting about toasting bread. I rarely have a problem with Subway bread being soggy.

I like Quizno's. It's just that the idiots who work at the one near me have turned me off. So instead of walking two blocks to have the Quizno's idiots prepare my food, I just walk across the street to have the Subway idiots prepare my food.
