We are discusing animal cruelty and that is a video showing a cow having it's throat ripped out and then being left to either bleed to death or suffocate.

This all reminds me of that South Park episode where all of the PETA members were all having sex with the animals.   

Oh yeah, PETA is evil; they want to protect animals...really bad isn't it?  now I'm not gonna be able to add more fat to my redneck ass from eating fried chicken, what a smurfing tragety
I mean after all who the smurf cares about animals; as long as they taste good nothing else matters.  Oh, by the way, did you know that the world revolves around me.  Anyone who crosses my path is a radical terrorist.

Why don't you people pull your heads out of your asses and think about it for a bit.  If you watched the video you'd have seen some of the things that happen.  Would you like it if I did that to your smurfing cat or dog!!  I sure as hell wouldn't

Its not that PETA wants to protect animals, its their nutzo ideas and the crazy stuff they try to pull.

smurf you.  You brought up some good points, a while back, but to say that Charlton Heston would condone, much less whine that you should be able to go buy an animal just to shoot it, makes me sick.  So much for getting me on your side.  That statement alone, is why people don't like Peta (bread -- j/k about the bread part.)  It's a generalization that you were protesting earlier.

Maybe you should think before you post. Just because people eat meat doesn't mean they are rednecks. Besides, something has to die in order for you to eat. It's a fact of life. the only living things that don't have to kill for food (except for a few notable exceptions such as bees) are plants. Other then that, in order to stay alive, all living things must take away from another living thing, be it plant or animal. Humans have evolved to eat both plants and animals. To say that it is wrong to eat meat is just plain stupid.

A plant needs to die for you to eat it.

Nothing can stay alive in the stomach acid in your stomach.

Damnit I never said it was wrong to eat meat.  I'm not a vegitarian.  I was just pointing out that It makes no sense that after seeing the two videos so many people would just sort of laugh about it and assume that because they like something means that nothing else makes the slightest bit of difference

You're right about all major media outlets being bad, but it's Fox that constantly attacks PETA, that's why I used them in my post.

I am truly sorry for loosing my temper.  I was an ass for yelling at you instead of first checking to see if you were kidding.  Please accept my apologies.

All I know is that I'm naming my first three kids after you!

My friend at work told me a story about someone who transfered to another office shortly after I transfered into her office. She's a vegan (sp?) and during a Yankee Swap Xmas party at work, she was able to get a live 1 1/2LB lobster. She brought the smurfing thing to the ocean and let it go!

At which point, it walked right into another trap.

I mean come on! It got caught once, it will get caught again. Can't believe she wouldn't realize that.
