I got myself some George Romero films
Night of the living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, & Day of the Dead.
Three awesome movies. Screw "Scrooge" I'd rather see people
get ripped from limb to limb. (in the comfort of my home own house not at the mall!)

There are plenty of people on this forum that are young enough for this to be actually true!

So far I've bought myself a new wallet, 2 pairs of socks, a book (Janny Wurts' Traitor's Knot) and a DVD (Battlefield Earth, it was cheap, so sue me). I'm afraid to go back and finish my Christmas shopping.

Re: Christmas gifts: What are you getting yourself?
My real Christmas present to myself was this cool 1950s vintage mixer, which I got for $5 while shopping for presents in an antique store
Tasty, jondaris.
My wife got me a red Eames LCW (the picture doesn't do it justice) for my birthday, and around the same time I got a killer deal on a Danish modern dining room set (very good condition for $150). But now I want one of these. I'm never satisfied.

Re: Christmas gifts: What are you getting yourself?
My wife and I bought an iPod photo for each other, but she refers to it as "your iPod" (addressing me). So I guess that I bought myself a 40 GB iPod photo.
Too bad she won't let me open it until Christmas Eve.

Re: Christmas gifts: What are you getting yourself?
The Eames is sweet. I've wanted a Predicata for a long time. I have no idea what they cost though. I have very little period furniture, but a lot of period accessories, including a whole collection of 1950s lamps (like this one and this one and this one). They just don't make cool stuff like that anymore. I also have a lot of Starburst china, manufactured in the mid-fifties. I have a lot more than is pictured on that page, which i haven't updated in a while.

I haven't gotten myself anything, because my freelance work has just started to pick back up. But hey, I made $200 in the last couple days.
My buddy bought himself a Powerbook G4 though, I am jealous.
