Those rubber bracelets

Since Livestrong has become such a rage, other variations have popped up. I ask if anyone has heard of a rubber WWJD bracelet, as the standard ones seem to scratch my wrist where the ends are sewn together. Thanks!

Re: Those rubber bracelets

BTW, these rubber bracelets are not a "rage". It's just a marketing gimmick, much like the Pet Rock and Pokemon. Whatever floats.

My little brother bought a ten pack. They're the stupidest fashion accesory I think I've ever seen since those old snap-bracelets... well, that and hemp necklaces.

I couldn't care less about the "Fashion" of it.

Be careful. Most of the one's they're selling now probly don't do smurf for cancer victims. Certainly not the ones F041 is looking for.

Ouch.  That could suck.

I've considered buying one of the pink ones - funds go to breast cancer research.

I saw a story on the local news about this.
seems some a few stores were selling bogus bracelets.
people thought that part of the money was going to a good cause but
instead it was all going in some greedy sleazball's pocket

Re: Those rubber bracelets

before the livestrong bands EVER came out, they were a major rage with all of the NBA players. I remember that everyone on my AAU team wore them. I bought a set that was for LaBron James when I bought my Livestrong band. My Nike baller bands have lasted a lot longer than my two Livestrong bands...woops.

I first thought this thread was about jelly bracelets and if someone was asking weather they really were "sex bracelets," which is bullsmurf, and really pisses me off since I wear them almost 24-7...

Re: Those rubber bracelets

It seems like if you really care about the cause, you'd just donate money. Your petty $1 donation is further diminished by the fact that they have give you something in return. That's costing them money.

And I don't think spending $1 entitles you to a badge claiming you fight cancer. But hey, it seems to be working. A lot of single dollars equals a lot of dollars.

I hate fashion. It sucks. I refuse to follow anything new in fashion. The stupidest thing I have ever seen is people with there pants hanging off their ass. They can't even walk!

So are you still wearing cave-man like furs to cover your body?

OK. My clothes stopped at about 1985. I live in the past. My taste in music is rather stale to most people. But hey, it's my iPod and I'll listen to what I want. Heck, not even my parents like 50's music. I'm one weird 16 year old.  shrug
