Need help with pesky Java Applet

They "Smear" accross the page.  My drop down menus (java) are fine.  It's these news tickers I want that are giving the problem.  Is it just bad coding?  Insight with Java experiance is needed.

Well, it's actually probably a bug with the web browser.  Not to say it isn't your responsibility to fix.  Another thing: why are you using JavaScript to do things like that?  JavaScript should be avoided at all costs!
