Well I bought 2k4 (the 2 disc DVD edition) and opened it up, guess what, no gamekey. ARG!!!
It's not over though, it was the last copy at that store, and they won't refund me, only exchange it for another copy. mad

Oh yeah, almost forgot, It's the PC version. I'll be making maps probably maybe even vehicles smile

Hmm, I'd give Epic a holler on that one. They'd probably be happy to give you a new CD-Key (provided that you prove that you bought the game).

I got store credit and bought the new version. Installing now

The version I had was discontinued, which is why I got the refund.

Ah yes there is the "Standard" version and the newer "ECE" version. Most places have the ECE version priced $10 more. Which isn't fair since all the new content is free via downloads.

Ah, but at the store I bought it at, the CD version, the DVD SE version, and the ECE versions were all the same price XD

And I had a Best Buy giftcard I had to burn, so I might as well get the ECE...

I bought the Editor's Choice version, and the key was printed on a sticker on the inside of the case behind the game manual. Did you check there?
