iLife, nothing to do with it's delay, I promise!
So, since Apple Claims that the only reason iDVD isn't free is that it is too big too download, if you buy iLife, is it pirating it to distribute it, not for moeny or anything, but lets say, multiple installs in my house, giving it to friends and so on?
What do you think?

Jobs said that it's too big to offer as a free download. That doesn't necessarily mean that the file is too big.
If the EULA says it's illegal to distribute it, then it's illegal.

Jobs says its too big because that's the only way he can actually market iLife. Otherwise, it should all be given for free.

note to anyone: just because something is given a way freely. in no way make's it free for you to give a way. free and open source are not the same thing.
Actually Open source has nothing to do with it. Open source would mean Apple was distributing the source code for iLife, and if that ever happened I would probably drop dead of shock.
Free and Free to distribute are two different things.

My gosh, once you bought it, its YOURS. Install it on as much computers as you deem YOURS.
Well, that's just my opinion, but it would be Mac Cool.

Ah... the EULA...
Their value is pretty questionable at best (what kind of contract is not viewable until you buy the product, then open the box, voiding any hope of refund?). Most of them boil down to "no matter what we've written, we're not responsible, even if we specifically wrote code to wipe your hard drive after emailing personal files to random IP addresses and posting your credit card details on bulletin boards." I suspect that when one is finally tested fully in court, developers will actually be responsible for what they've written. I wonder how much everyone will sue MS, Apple and Sun for then...
But I digress...
The part that isn't really arguable is the part about unauthorised copies. You could potentially make a good case for a backup, but you can't distribute them.
