Replacing the Dimm on the Logic Board of a 12 inch PB
I have a 12 inch 867PBG4 VGA, with the 256 chip soddered onto the motherboard. I am thinking of replacing the 512 I have in the thing with a 1gb, then replacing the 252 with either the 512 or a 1gb chip. Is it worth attempting to desodder the dimm chip on the logic board?

I wouldn't attempt cause theres a lot more risk to frying your board. 1.25GB of RAM will help a bit anyways. Biggest limiters tho is your GPU and CPU still. Might be able to gain a few pts if you swapped in a faster HD but, they are pricey. You could do better with putting that money towards a newer machine.

GPU sucks there is nothing I can do about that, I could get a faster hard disk and I probabley will. I will do the 1.25 but it would be really sweet to get up to 2 gb or at least 1.5 I think it would be a definate preformance boost for the 1.25 but upping the dimm the logic board might just give it a little bit more preformance.
