Overclocking my 667Mhz TiBook and a quick Safari question

Is it a wise idea to overclock my 667 TiBook? I know absolutely nothing about overclocking, or even what it does. I assume it just makes my tibook run like a beast. Will I burn out my processor?

Also, I cant seem to log on to my Hotmail account w/ Safari. I just downloaded it yesterday (the public beta from OSX's site). Hotmails page told me I should enable JavaScript. I checked my prefs in safari and Jscript is enabled. After I tried again a few times, it just kept telling me my password was wrong. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Bennie

Safari works fine with hotmail here.... Try it again, sometimes it's a bit weird on some sites. Did you instal the update for safari from SW Update? I suppose you probably got it with the download?

there are a lot of tools that give you a debugging menu, in the menu you can have safari identify itself as a different browser. try that, i am at school and i am on a PC so i can't tell you the name now.

No, overclocking is probly not a good idea. It used to be easy when machines just had jumper blocks. You'd need to have mad soldering skills to move the tiny resistors on your machine and that would give you a only small speed bump...if even. Normally processor burnout isn't a problem. When it gets too hot the machine just crashes and cools down.

yeah safari does the same to me..but after a few tries it logs me into my account. strange...and sometimes it works without a hitch. i already rode a bug report to apple..you should do the same. i saw a web page a while ago about overclocking a 550mhz Ti to 667mhz..damn you need balls of steel to attempt that! like pottymouth said u need soldering skills of a god! too bad the new macs arent as easy to overclock as the old B&W G3's (i have one!!) and the Beige G3's.... roll
