Well I think I read somewhere the Pan and Zoom feature will be incorporated into the iMovie app.  So you will be able to import photos to iMovie, P&Z over them, then add sound, and finally export to QT formats. If this is not accurate info well then it would be a good idea

Re: iPhoto2

Yeah but that's in iMOVIE.  I want that functionality in iPHOTO, where it would suit the slideshow a heckuva lot.

To be equal you have to add or subtract.  And I have never liked math.  People who want to be equal's lives are filled with subtractions and auditions.  We will call you back and tell you. - MM

Re: iPhoto2

atodd: you can use transitions etc. to put a slide show together in iMovie plus have far more versatility in commanding its final viewed presentation, not to mention audio, or the fact that you can mail it , web it, format it for NTSC or PAL, save it to QT and show it full screen view...then again these methods/formats will take up HD space.

You are correct iPhoto does not have a P&Z feature.

Or click "Slideshow" in iPhoto...  although the "sharing" aspect would be great.  But for simple, on-my-Mac slideshows, iPhoto would be parrrfect.

Exactly.  200MB for a minute of DV.  That's hefty.

Re: iPhoto2

I just went to Apple iPhoto website, to see if by some miracle it may be avaliable for download ... watched the Archive to CD video. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by it since it preserved the Album structure perfectly. This may be the perfect solution to slow iPhoto woes for those with 1000s of photos in their libraries.

But I have a question. Considering that iPhoto library structure changed from 1.0 to 1.0.1 and now to 2.0, what is going to happen to your archive in the future? Will they still be compatable with future versions of iPhoto?

Can't wait for them to release it, c'mon Apple gimme gimme gimme  cool
