I am having trouble installing Java programs

whenever I want to install a java program like limewire the installers always crash at some point. sometimes I find a little trick to get them to work like pressing a lot of keys or making sure the programs menu bar is always active till it passes the crashing point. Some of the installers don't seem to have a way to pass the crash period. Has anyone had this problem? if so what was causing the problem and how do I fix it?

Re: I am having trouble installing Java programs

No one has had this problem? If I am being too vauge I have an iBook 600 MHz with 10.2.3. I Have installed XDarwin beta open office and GIMP.  I am thinking that XDarwin might be the root of the problem if so I need to clean the drive anyway so I am going to clean install. I am surprised that my problem is so remote. I will wait till the weakend to do this because I don't have time to do all this now. I hope I find an answer before then.

Re: I am having trouble installing Java programs

I just installed LimeWire today.  No issues with installation - never had any.  XDarwin may be it.
