iPod app?

hey, I'm a programmer that is looking for info on making an app for an iPod.  All the example apps I've seen so far run on the 'parent machine', not the iPod itself.  I know this *must* be possible; if Breakaway exists, then something else can exist, as well.

So, my questions:

1. Is there an iPod-specific SDK?
2. What languages does it support?  Is there an API manual somewhere?
3. Is there an example somewhere of someone who's done this?

It's really a very simple app I want to make, and I'd hate to buy a PDA for it if my iPod can host it.

Thanks for any help!  smile

Re: iPod app?

Apple has not released an iPod SDK as of yet.

Re: iPod app?

Okay... so does anyone know how I can hack it?  I can go without an SDK, if it's java, for instance.

Re: iPod app?

This would be a step in the right direction. That's where the OS came from.

Re: iPod app?

Do you think the OS was created with WebObjects?

Re: iPod app?

I remember from SOMEWHERE that it uses Java, although you shouldn't trust that fact wink
