That's hideous!
Perhaps, if they scrubbed, in one direction, with a scotchbrite pad, it would give it a nice brushed aluminum look, the same way people have with their iPods.
As it is, that sloppy swirly pattern, left behind by the Dremel, looks like ass.

Well... uh... I think it was a nice try. I would have tried for the brushed look (running across the book rather then swirls) by using my d-tool in parrallel lines with a different wire brush ... or maybe you could go all swirls but then hit it with a cutting compound and take out the deep cuts and just have a powder-like look and then hit it with a clear coat... I thought it was a good try though. Applefritter has a number of mod paint jobs in their hack section if you are into paintiing it.
