First off, it's "I" not "i," and "you've" not "youve."
As to your above quote, that's what the other guy said about you. So if you would mind telling me what makes you right and him wrong, I would appreciate it.

What are you smoking? Try new things? Apple: UNIX. Windows: DOS. Need I elaborate? freeeekyyy wrote:
ms hasgone through about 4 guis, plus a 5th, new one coming up with longhorn in 2005.
So they figured out how to shape some buttons and change some colors. other than that, and the fact that XP is less stable, it is the same as 2k Pro. freeeekyyy wrote:
another example of ms innovation is the work theyre doing on creating the worlds first xml-based filesystem. no longer will there be any distinction between remote and locally stored files.
except bus speeds, and how, exactley, is that different from an appleshare or webdav server?

Oh, btw, can YOU tell me how software affects bus speeds? or how a 32-bit, multitasking os can possibly be dos based?
and joe, since you insist ms didnt invent the optical mousew, do you mind telling me who did? and what was it called? i would like to hear of such a thing...

He already said. Logitech. And you have yet to prove that it was ms who did it first...

Two words: Intellimouse Explorer. And you still havent told me what logitech mouse this was. Just logitech doesnt tell me anything. logitechs made all kinds of mouses(yes, mouses is the correct plural, its not an animal mouse), so you need to be more specific. he also said he wasnt sure. i say i am 100% sure, so therefore, im naturally more trustworthy.

Re: Sometimes I wonder...
what i meant was that ms made the first commercially available mouse to actually use optical technology. still, nobody has told me the name of this logitech optical that supposedly was around before the ms optical mouse.

Re: Sometimes I wonder...
logitech's First optical mouse 1995 is that good enough or do you need pictures, maybe testimonials from world leaders about how it was the first comercially available optical mouse, maybe some carbon dating?

Re: Sometimes I wonder...
In response to the original topic...
Because PCs are cheap, fast, flexible, reliable (excepting dumb users..)... Because you can build a 1ghz+ machine for the price of a used B&W G3. No one says you even have to run any MS products on them at all
PC != MS

Re: Sometimes I wonder...
nd, if you want to know of some recent ms innovation, the whole idea of the optical mouse comes from ms. they designed the original.
I can recall reading reviews of optical mice back in the mid 90's. I trashed my Mac Format collection though, so I can't tell you which company it was, but it wasn't MS.
