that would put me on topic. since you need it in essay fromat, i will reframe the matter.
i don't see any "need" for expletives to be illustrated to OTHER READERS of my thoughts and words. the FREEDOM to actually TYPE THEM IN is what i enjoy.
in other words, THE FILTERS ARE AN ASSET. i am helping you, INTENTIONALLY.
i did not invent filter dodging, and i see a lot of it when i leave miniTHINK - which i rarely do anymore.

i guess a thread about smruf words, and the blocking of smurf words is not a good place to use smurf words and talk about smurf words that should be smurfing blocked.

I would be more inclined to get upset about it if GUI was being oh, I don't know, paid to do that voodoo he does so well. But since he isn't,

GUI is doing this job unpaid as are the rest of the moderators. He's also going to college and school work takes precedence. Give him some time. He'll eventually get around to it.
