Re: Whats going on w/ Apple Records Vs. Apple Computer
Apple launched a campaign a few years ago to thwart it's technology from other companies. This kept companies such as Real from being able to play Apple branded DRM in their players. This, in turn, has caused a lot of whining and spawned several individuals and Real itself to bypass the DRM for the purposes of either utilizing their products with iTMS or under the veil of fair play usage.
Do not be fooled. Apple planned this all along. Once the court decisions have been made allowing these sinister infiltrators to ride the milking tit of Apple Computers, Apple will use the judgment as the foundation for including Beatles audio and video albums into iTMS. Apple Records will launch a huge Beatles campaign worlwide to announce and advertise the release. iTMS will sell 3 songs and Apple Records will go bankrupt. Michael Jackson will then purchase all of Apple Records remaining assets. He will be found guilty and his property will become that of the US Government (by the time he is convicted, it becomes a Federal case).
The US Government is now in control of Apple Records and sues Apple Computers over breaking the settlements of over a decade ago. The Feds take control of iTMS. Now, no matter what song you purchase (and there is a 2 song per month minimum for all US citizens and occupied countries), it is either a soft trancelike lullaby or puts listeners in an unexplained crazed rage with a desire to kill. The latter is often heard on the front lines of the new Global War Against Freedom (I believe it's called the War on Terror at the moment, but the vision is foggy).
To answer your question. Nope. I haven't heard anything lately.

Re: Whats going on w/ Apple Records Vs. Apple Computer
Does anyone buy Beatles albums because they say "Apple" on them? No. They buy them because they say "Beatles" on them.
Apple Corps should just STFU. They haven't lost a penny because of Apple Computer. In fact, they've been smurfing themselves out of a lot of royalties by not letting ITMS distribute their music.
Idiots. Smurfing idiots.

BINGO. You nailed it.
It is companies like Apple Records and idiots that behave like them that have caused me to conclude that the world is smurfed.
